✓ Insert The Battery Into Your Camera

To begin the Arlo Pro Camera Setup, you first need to power it on and for this the battery insertion is important. For doing so, gently press and hold the latch of the battery compartment. Carefully pull the battery door and align the batteries inside. Close the compartment carefully. 

✓ Download The Arlo App

The Arlo application is available on Google Play Store and for iOs users on App store. Users who already have the app installed on their device, need to make sure that it is updated to its latest version. Meanwhile the Arlo app is downloading, move towards the next step. 

✓ Provide Internet Access To The Base Station 

Now in this step of arlo pro camera setup you need an active internet connection. So make use of the provided Ethernet cable and build connection between the Arlo base station and home router. In the packaged contents you also receive an AC power adapter. Take it out, connect it to the base station and then plug it in a wall socket. Push the on/off knob. The base station will take up at least two minutes to boot up properly. As it starts completely you'll see a solid green light. If you see an amber light, this means the base station is still booting up. 




✓ Create Your Arlo Account And Sync Your Camera To The Base Station 

Launch the Arlo app on your smart device. Tap on the Arlo Icon. Additionally, follow the app instructions one by one to create the account. 

To sync the Arlo pro camera setup to the base station, follow these steps:

  • Keep the arlo pro camera at a distance of one to three feet from the base station. 
  • Push the sync button from the top of the base station. You need to press it down for not less than two to three seconds. You'll see the sync status LED will start blinking green. 
  • In this setup step push the sync button on the Arlo pro camera. Use the same strategy of two seconds here as well and then release it. You'll see a blinking blue light on the front face of the camera. This means the syncing is successful.

  • Lastly, a camera charging cable.

Before you begin with the Arlo Ultra 2 Setup installation guide, make sure all these components are in their best condition and nothing is missing. 

Installation Steps:

✓ Quickly download the Arlo app on any device of your choice. Moving further, create your Arlo account if you don't already have one. 

✓ Now click on the Add device option. Moving further, tap on Camera and then on Ultra. Get ready as the Arlo app now asks you to connect to the base station.

✓ Now use the provided Ethernet cable. Connect one part of the wire to host router and the other end to the base station. With the help of a provided power adapter, start up the base station. 

✓ Now return back to the Arlo app, it'll ask you to name the smart hub and select the time zone. As you perform this action tap Continue. The Arlo app starts looking for firmware updates and if found it automatically updates it.

✓ Thereafter the Arlo app prompts you to insert the battery into your Arlo Ultra 2 Setup. To do so remove the housing of the camera and place the battery carefully. 

✓ Now the Base Station will automatically detect the Arlo Ultra 2 camera. Visit the app there, you'll be asked to select the serial number of the camera. As you do so you'll now be asked to name the camera.
